Paranormal Romance

Drive Me Wild by Christine Warren

5 out of 5 Stars

This is the 7th book in The Others series by Christine Warren. This is one of my favorites from this series.. it may be my absolute favorite. It’s hard for me to even put into words because all I want to do is ramble on about everything that was awesome in here.

Let’s start with Rafe and Tess. I have loved Rafe since the very beginning and I have been waiting patiently (not really) for his book to come along. There has also been a little bit a mystery to him and I like that. Tess is a witch and she’s is absolutely perfect for Rafe. Their first encounter, she tries to follow him but keeps tripping and making noises, so Rafe pins her to a wall so they can talk. She is this tiny little lady and she has a huge Jaguar shifter pinning her to a wall and she doesn’t let that intimidate her what so ever. She fights back.. not physically but with her wit and sarcasm. I may have just a little bit of a girl crush on Tess. Another thing I loved about her was that even though her grandfather wanted her to gather info on Rafe and the Others.. she didn’t. And she didn’t try to hide that from Rafe. The others council also asks Rafe to gather info on the witches and he refuses to put Tess in that position.. again I love that.

Really there is a whole bunch of drama with the witches, her grandfather, and then lets not forget the whole curse thing. But the greatest part of the book was the relationship itself. Rafe was sexy as hell and the love scenes are pretty steamy. They fall in love fast.. Of course they don’t recognize it until the end but it’s still there in everything that they do.

Paranormal Romance

Married By Morning by Lisa Kleypas

4.5 out of 5 stars

This is the 4th book in The Hathaways by Lisa Kleypas and I loved it. Leo was so incredibly sweet. Not exactly something I would have thought him capable of, at least not with anyone outside his family and especially not with Cat. But he was the sweetest guy and he said some of the most perfect things ever. Of course I don’t remember them but I remember reading them and being like omg marry me.

I loved their banter. They didn’t argue like they did before they really knew each other but they still argued.. in a loving way. It was adorable. I like that the relationship wasn’t overly serious with a whole bunch of drama. It was a fun relationship. I just freaking loved them together.

The only thing I didn’t like about the book was how long it took Cat to accept the proposal. Leo was amazing in every way. I know all her fears were of herself not being good enough but that always just pisses me off. The man would not have given you attention if he thought you weren’t good enough. Leo need played mind games. So that just annoyed me.

Now on to the animal lover 🙂

Fantasy Romance

Fantastical by Kristen Ashley

“Does this mean I’m a princess?” I asked He started at me looking annoyed for a second then he sat back and signed, “That’s what usually happens when a woman marries a prince.” ….. “Oh my God, I’m a Princess.”

This is the 3rd book in the Fantasyland series by Kristen Ashley. This is a series where people from our world have a “twin” in the Fantasy world. Each book is different but in each the main character gets switched with the twin from the fantasy world. In this book Cora wakes up and she is in a dream like world. In fact she thinks she’s in a dream. She has to learn to adapt very quickly. Cora is one of my favorite heroines of all time. She is brave, funny, lovably and is nice to everyone. The Cora of the fantasy world was hated by all so this Cora had to deal with people literally spitting on her. She hated that people hated her but she turned everything around and made the people love her just by being herself. Most of the time when a character is overly happy it annoys me but Kristen Ashley did an amazing job at making an annoyingly nice person 100% lovable.

I also really loved Tor. He was a jerk in the beginning but listening to someone you married say they are from a different world would be hard to believe. Especially when you hate your wife like Tor hated the other Cora. This is the first book where the couple spent time in our world and it was so much fun to see Tor realize that he was wrong and all the stories she’d been telling him were true.

This was such a fun read and I highly recommend the whole series.
