This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

I honestly had no intention of ever reading this book.. I need a romance in the books I read. But I was at work looking through the 20+ unread audiobooks and none of them sounded good. So I hopped over to my library website and saw this and monsters sounded awesome to me.

Kate bothered me a whole lot at first. I could not relate to her on any level. I have parents that would support me even if I murdered someone.. like my mom would be there like “She had to have had a reason.” So I have never felt the need to you know burn down a chapel to get my fathers attention. And I seriously almost stopped reading the book right there. I just thought that it was ridiculous that she was burning shit down just to go home. And then her attitude at school? Not havin it. I kind of hated her. And to be honest.. I still don’t really love her. She absolutely got better towards the end of the book but I still didn’t like her. Now August I loved. He was adorable and completely lovable. He was a nice monster!

But I honestly did like this book. It was fun and an interesting story. I have already put the next book on hold at my library.
